First Word for May 2026
What a thrill to see two baptized last Sunday on Mother’s Day! I am filled with joy and gratitude for God’s faithfulness and His presence guiding us. God continues to work through ordinary people who take steps of faith to see lives transformed by His love.
Last year, we united in faith around the Advance Initiative: a shared vision to see the Kingdom of God move forward both locally and globally.
We saw 18 decisions for Christ and celebrated 6 baptisms. Here are additional ways we have watched God move through the generosity of the Advance Initiative.
Ministries:
ESL - Over 60 people served representing 8 different languages (Spanish, Portuguese, Ukrainian, Russian, Vietnamese, Telugu, French and Korean).
Jetpacks - 1560 bags prepared for food insecure in our community—(7,878 meals provided)
Adopt-A-School - 220 people served
Community Outreach - 4 events where people served and prayed for people in our community
Thanksgiving dinners—200 prepared
Recent Milestones:
Annex remodeled.
True Life Med Clinic began and saw their first patients.
We began two services.
Easter Sunday attendance was 340 total.
The Columbia lifegroup is going strong.
Chris and Lindsey Pangallo are now living in Murfreesboro, and with Skylar and Kate Dean they will be starting a lifegroup there this June.
We celebrate all God has done, and we keep marching on.
Faith is always about taking the next steps:
“So Joshua came upon them suddenly, having marched up all night from Gilgal.” Joshua 10:9
Faith is being willing to march through the night. It is also important to note that the march precedes the miracle. Joshua and his men kept taking step after step through the night, and then the miracle happened.
This year, we will be having a special Advance Offering on June 7 and June 14. This is Step Two of our Advance Initiative to see gospel advance in four key areas—locally, globally, through future church planting, and in faithful stewardship for the next generation.
Please pray and ask God what he would have you to give.
Lets Go!
